Who are we?
We are a group of staff assembled to help drive further progress and to create a more inclusive culture and an environment where all individuals are able to thrive, irrespective of race or ethnicity, we are developing a Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Staff Network. Membership of the group is open to any member of staff who supports the aims of the Network.
Our Objectives

To provide a forum for networking and a means of peer support between BAME staff.

Act as a voice for BAME staff offering a source of consultation and a means of communicating with the University about BAME issues in relation to University policies and practices.

To work towards improving the career progression and opportunities for Academic and Professional BAME staff.

Create a working and learning environment in which all staff and students feel comfortable, respected and valued.

Work with the equality and diversity unit on events of celebration and/or information sharing.
