Profile

Geraint joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 1987, working as a Technician in the Speech and Language Therapy Department. He was invited to become part of a newly created Psychology section in 1990 as Senior Technician.

In 2015 Geraint became a Technician Demonstrator within the Department of Applied Psychology with responsibility of demonstrating in Data Analysis workshops using SPSS to Level 4 Psychology students. He has also worked towards the development and integration of practical technical sessions within theory based modules, e.g. the use of the Bio-Pac within Experimental data Analysis; equipping undergraduate students with key practical skills and enhancing the student learning experience.

His main responsibilities include the day to day smooth running of the technical and experimental equipment in the department, and to provide high level of specialist technical support within the subject area of Psychology. He is also responsible for sourcing and ordering new equipment as well as overall responsibility for the P-PARC, the Psychology and Postgraduate Applied Research Centre.
