News | 23 November 2023

Cardiff Metropolitan University has announced a new partnership with add-victor, a recruitment platform which connects high performing student athletes with career opportunities.

The partnership has been forged as part of Cardiff Met’s commitment to continually supporting and developing its student athletes.

add-victor will connect high performing student athletes with career opportunities

Through add-victor, students can create a profile and look for roles that suit their needs and their commitments. It’s a chance for student athletes to expose themselves to internships, placements, and job roles they ordinarily may not have the chance to apply for with companies who understand the transferable skills that being involved in sport can bring.

Additionally, working alongside Cardiff Met’s Athlete Lifestyle and Education Manager, Katie Payne, add-victor will deliver workshops to the Performance Programmes and Dual Career Athletes targeting transferable skills, networking and CV writing workshops.

Katie Payne said: “Encouraging student athletes to follow their aspirations and facilitating the development of their individual skillsets is a valuable part of the student athlete journey, and one we’re proud to play a small part in through this exciting partnership with add-victor.”

Steve White-Cooper, CEO & Founder of add-victor said: “We are thrilled about this partnership that amplifies our commitment to empowering student athletes beyond the field, as employers acknowledge the huge potential in attracting and developing student athletes.

“Alongside Cardiff Metropolitan University, we are building stronger connections with universities nationwide to further magnify the value student athletes offer.”
