Overview
I am the Transition Strategic Lead in the School of Education and Social Policy – supporting students as they transition into university, whether from school or as mature students.
After a career in the financial services industry I started teaching English in 2003 having completed my CELTA at Bristol University. I joined the ELTC in 2008 following five years teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages, during which time I had completed my PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and Training at UWIC.
I completed my MA Education (Distinction) in 2011 with my dissertation focussing on the English language learning experiences of Chinese students.
In 2019, I achieved the status of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
