Overview

Kerry Harris is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Coaching and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She also serves as Sports Coaching Hub Lead, playing a central role in driving innovation, collaboration, and applied practice within the field. Kerry has extensive experience teaching and supervising research across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Kerry’s research focuses on coach development and enhancing inclusion for women and marginalised groups in sport. She has developed a growing profile in this area, leading to impactful collaborations with a range of national governing bodies and contributing to sector-wide change.

Kerry is an experienced coach holding an FAW/UEFA A Licence and is a Level 4 Coach Developer with the Welsh Rugby Union. Kerry has coached across youth and senior club and international levels, gaining experience in a wide range of competitive environments, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Kerry has worked across a variety of performance and development settings, supporting coaches and athletes at multiple levels of the sport system. She also brings significant experience as a mentor, playing a key role in developing the coaching workforce across the sector.
