My role at the ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre

My role involves supporting food and drink manufacturers in Wales through NPD knowledge transfer across all product categories, with a particular focus on:

• Supporting and mentoring clients in the development and implementation of best practice NPD process
• Facilitating new and existing product development in all stages from concept through to launch
• Assisting recipe formulation for safe product development and guidance with regards to shelf life determination
• Sensory paneling of products to guide development and to maintain a competitive edge for our clients
• Facilitating and leading product innovation and development for ZERO2FIVE and its clients

Previous Experience

I have 10 years' experience predominantly in the red meat industry but also in the pet food sector. I have worked in both technical and NPD roles for large manufacturers throughout my career, producing products for and working closely with a range of large retailers, discounters, food service outlets, further manufacturing sites, own brand and export products.
