On 26th February, Cardiff Met celebrated Hijab Fun Day!
Rawshanara Begum, a 3rd year Fine Art student, organised the event to explore peoples' perceptions on the wearing of the hijab. The event was held in The Heart on the second floor of the Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD).
People were able to come along to CSAD to try on some beautiful hijabs and hats.
Hijab is a fabric material like a scarf that is worn around the head. It is usually worn to cover the hair and the neck only. This is a religious dressing and practiced by many women across the globe.
Cardiff Met students and staff were asked for their views on people wearing the Hijab and were asked to try them on to see what it felt and looked like.
