Global Innovation Challenge

Global Innovation Challenge

1st - 5th March 2021

Over the past year, the world as we know it has changed dramatically. Industries that appeared to be unshakable have crumbled and our world view changed forever. However, history teaches us that huge challenges also present even bigger opportunities – and this is where you, the leaders of tomorrow, have your part to play.

Cardiff Metropolitan University is hosting the first Global Innovation Challenge. Students and lecturers from our partners in 15 different countries are invited to join us on Teams for a week of guest lectures and international group activities to seek creative solutions for management problems in various industries. You, as a Cardiff Met student, will bring your field of expertise to a multi-cultural team to help develop new ways of breathing life into Retail, Tourism, Hospitality and Business Management, culminating in presentations of exciting new ideas at the end of the week.

Along the way, you will meet with other Cardiff Met students from across the globe, work with them in small groups and get to know their cultures through various fun activities. This is the first event of its kind and, who knows, the ideas you come up with could just be the next great idea to solve some of the problems the world faces today.

So, whatever your area of expertise, come and join us for an inspiring learning journey!

A full schedule of the week including information on guest speakers will be published in January.
