Siân Rees

The focus of my work in this role is to further develop Cardiff Metropolitan's reputation for making the skills and expertise of the school available to the widest possible range of learners, locally and internationally, across all sectors via bespoke and standard education and training. Our portfolio is based on academic expertise and research and professional body accreditation, offering leading edge consultancy, work-based learning, higher and degree apprenticeships. I am responsible for the school's external engagement, the development of detailed strategies for income generation through innovation in the curriculum, based on the needs of employers across all industry sectors, public and third sector organisations.

I am an experienced academic leader at school and institutional levels, previously Head of Newport Business School and, Associate Head of the School of Business at University of South Wales. Prior to entering HE in 2009, I gained wide-ranging experience over more than 25 years in industry, performing key education and training, sales and IT senior management roles at UK and European levels for a variety of international IT and financial services companies, most latterly, Oracle.

Stuart Canning

My main responsibilities as Innovation and Enterprise Team Leader is to conduct market research in to areas where Cardiff School of Management's professional and short courses can be expanded. I work closely with the Associate Dean of Innovation to create and implement business plans to develop new programmes. I provide administrative management for Cardiff School of Management's part time provision, which includes co-ordinating quality assurance processes and the evaluation of programmes such as the MBA Advanced Entry, Executive MBA and all other professional qualifications.

Elaine Williams

A recent addition to the Enterprise Team, I have two main roles.  I coordinate all aspects of Cardiff School of Management (CSM) Enterprise Marketing and Communications, as well as overseeing and coordinating the financial aspects of CSM Enterprise projects.  My focus is to support and project manage  the provision, planning and execution of our events including the Enterprise Business Club, The Forum, Guest Lectures, Awards and Networking Events.    

My career in the HE sector has been varied.  Starting as a Lecturer in the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Department, I moved to lecture in other departments as well as working as a Personal Tutor for CSM students.   Since 2016 I have worked primarily in business development and external engagement roles for the University. 

A large part of my working life was spent in South Africa and then Spain where I worked in Hotel and Tourism Marketing roles before I moved to the UK.  I owned and operated my own hotel business for 18 years.

Qualifications include Executive MBA, FHEA, BSc (Hons), PGCE, PRINCE2.  I also have a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (CELTA).

Suzanne Morse

As School Support Officer I am responsible for the administrative support for the Executive MBA and MBA Advanced Entry programmes for UK and International students, such as mitigating circumstances for committee. My role involves supporting Programme Directors, Module Leaders and the Associate Dean/ Director of Innovation and Enterprise in the promotion, recruitment selection, enrolment, planning and induction for students on the programmes. I also manage programme documentation, including student handbooks and programme specifications ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date for both students and academic staff.

I have a keen interest in all areas of Business having completed a degree in Business Management from the University of Birmingham, during which I took part on an Erasmus exchange to Barcelona. After my degree, I worked in London for over 10 years working within Buying, Marketing and Human Resources as a Trainer for Marks and Spencer head office. Since moving back to Wales, I have worked as Communications and Events Officer for Dementias Platform UK as well as School of Medicine, Social Sciences, Business and the Vice Chancellors office for Cardiff University. I have worked closely with both UK and international students as well as key stakeholders in industry, such as leading pharmaceutical companies, Welsh Government, charities and the public.
