Cardiff Met Celebrates Strong Representation in Welsh Commonwealth Games Team

Cardiff Metropolitan University is proud to celebrate the outstanding success of its students, staff and alumni following the announcement of the Welsh team for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
A significant number of Cardiff Met representatives have been selected to compete for Team Wales, underlining the University’s continued excellence in developing elite athletes across a range of sports. The selections highlight the strength of Cardiff Met’s sport programmes and its reputation as a leading institution for high-performance sport in the UK.
Among those selected for Team Wales are current students, members of staff and former students, many of whom have progressed through Cardiff Met’s renowned performance pathways.

Behind the Team: Coaching and Support Staff
Cardiff Met’s influence extends beyond athletes, with several staff, students and alumni playing key roles behind the scenes as part of Wales’ and other nations’ support teams.
Their expertise is vital in preparing athletes to perform at the highest level on the Commonwealth stage.
