Dr Isabel Moore and Dr Craig Ranson

Moore and Ranson’s research informed policy and practice in identifying and preventing head injuries in cricket and rugby union, nationally and internationally. This includes a new British Standard for Head Protectors in Cricket, a standard adopted by all nations (n=104); a revised ICC Injury Surveillance Consensus Statement; a Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) Injury Surveillance System adopted by the British and Irish Lions and Guinness PRO14 Rugby league; and a mandatory WRU Concussion Education Programme for players, coaches, and referees.
