Welsh Postgraduate Taught Master's Incentivisation Bursary

Award Overview
Provision of tuition fee-remission.
Who Can Apply?
Home postgraduate students who are studying STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) subjects, OR/and undertaking courses in the medium of Welsh, OR/and are over 60 years of age.

Due to start a Masters or PhD with us but need a helping hand funding your programme?

There are two awards up for grabs, one for a student starting a Masters, and the other for a soon-to-be PhD candidate. The winners will each receive £6,000 towards the cost of their course. 

Applying is simple – just head over to the FindAMasters or FindAPhD website to write a 200-word statement explaining why you’re deserving of the award. 

The deadline is 1st September 2022.

In some situations however, other university staff may see your application/award assessment and relevant information if it is necessary for the purpose of assessment, implementation of award, or in order to provide further support. For example, information may be shared in cases where an award is co-administered with an academic school or department, or with Enrolment, Finance, or Commercial Services to implement your award, or with Student Services colleagues in relation to support provision.
