Clearing Advice Line Opening Times

July 2 – 12 August 2026:

Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Fridays: 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Thursday 13 August 2026 (A-level Results Day):

8:00am – 6:30pm

Our team of advice line staff and academics are available to chat through the options available to you.

What to expect when you call on Thursday 13 August

When calling you will be presented with a number of options:

Clearing – Select this option to make a new Clearing application to Cardiff Met.

You will be presented with a list of options in relation to the course you wish to study and be transferred to the most relevant course team:

  4. Business, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality & Events
  5. Primary Teaching & Early Years Education
  6. Computer Science, Games & Engineering
  7. Art, Design & Architecture
  8. English, Creative Writing & Media
  9. Politics & International Relations, Social Work, Sociology & Youth Work
  10. Any other queries

Confirmation* – Select this option if you have already applied, have received your results and want to confirm your place. You can also use this option if you have a general enquiry.

*Please note, that due to the high number of calls the University will receive on 13 and 14 August, you may prefer to check the status of your application through UCAS. As soon as a decision has been made on your application to us, you will be notified via UCAS.

You will also be informed on UCAS of the reason when a decision can not be made, such as not receiving qualification results.

  • Monday 17 August 2026 – onwards:
    Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 5:00pm.
    Fridays: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Out of Hours

If you want to contact us outside of these hours, or can’t get through on the telephone, you can apply online by completing our online clearing application form. You can also contact us via live chat linked from course pages, complete the enquiries form, and email us at askadmissions@cardiffmet.ac.uk. A member of the team will come back to you as soon as possible.

Make sure you include a brief outline of the course you are interested in, your academic qualifications, along with your full contact details, including a valid email and contact telephone number.
