Cardiff Met will extend its civic mission activity, building on our current work to enrich the economic, social, environmental and cultural wellbeing of Wales. Through partnerships and collaboration, we will support the community, businesses and industries by extending access to our facilities, talents and resources to play a significant and visible role in helping Wales to prosper.
We will:
- Increase our collaboration with partners and our local community.
- Extend the reach of our staff and students by enhancing the Cardiff Open Colleges project, widening the Open Campus initiative, and seeking to raise education aspirations and standards across Wales’ schools and colleges and in alignment with the 2022 Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) legislation.
- Reflect the diversity of our communities we serve both locally and nationally and support their needs by promoting the Welsh language and culture.
- Work with our communities and leaders in the field to improve social mobility in order to make society fairer.
