Manon Bertrand, 2017.  Conflict and group development in a young alternative community. An ethnographic research project exploring the development of Lammas ecovillage (Wales) Based on participating observation and semi structured interviews findings explore: conflicts originated in external structural features and incompatible values and ideals. How positions of the residents can be distinguished by their investment in the conflict and their willingness to compromise. Mechanisms of consolidation and withdrawal from the community. Group culture and a lack of mechanisms to deal with conflict reducing opportunities for future development.
