Terms and Conditions

Cardiff Metropolitan University is pleased to offer a Clearing Accommodation Guarantee for eligible students joining the University through Clearing for the 2026/27 academic year.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Clearing Accommodation Guarantee, applicants must:

• Accept a Cardiff Metropolitan University Clearing course offer for entry in September 2026.
• Submit a completed accommodation application by 5pm on 17 August 2026.
• Meet the University's accommodation eligibility criteria.

What the Guarantee Means

Eligible applicants will receive an accommodation offer for the 2026/27 academic year.

Accommodation may be offered in either Cardiff Metropolitan University residences or with one of the University's trusted accommodation partners within Cardiff.

What is Not Guaranteed

The Clearing Accommodation Guarantee is a guarantee of an accommodation offer, not a guarantee of a specific room or residence.

While we will make every effort to take applicants' preferences into account, we cannot guarantee:

• a particular residence or accommodation provider;
• a specific campus or location;
• a particular room type, including ensuite, standard, catered or self-catered accommodation;
• a preferred price band; or
• accommodation with friends or other named applicants.

Accommodation will be allocated according to availability at the time offers are made.

Applicants with Additional Accommodation Requirements

Applicants who require accommodation adjustments due to a disability, medical condition or other assessed need should include this information within their accommodation application.

Cardiff Metropolitan University will make every reasonable effort to provide suitable accommodation that meets assessed needs. Where specialist accommodation is required, allocations will be made subject to suitability and availability.

Additional Information

The Clearing Accommodation Guarantee applies only to eligible applicants who have accepted their Cardiff Met Clearing course offer and submitted their accommodation application by 5pm on  17 August 2026.

Applications received after this date will continue to be considered but will not be covered by the Clearing Accommodation Guarantee.

This guarantee relates solely to the provision of an accommodation offer and does not form part of the University's academic admissions process.

Cardiff Metropolitan University reserves the right to amend or withdraw this guarantee only in exceptional circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
