Enillais PhD ym 1988, mewn Peirianneg (Mathemateg Gymhwysol a Chyfrifiadura) o Brifysgol Caerdydd, y DU. Rwyf wedi gweithio i Brifysgol Morgannwg fel Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Cyfrifiadura, ac yna cyfnod fel Rheolwr Asesu Ansawdd Cyngor Cyllido Addysg Uwch Cymru. Ymunais â'r Weinyddiaeth Amddiffyn, y DU yn 2008 fel Pennaeth Systemau Gwybodaeth (DCCIS), yna Dirprwy Bennaeth y Gyfadran TGCh (DSCIS) ac yn olaf Pennaeth yr Adran TG.
